Candle Care
To ensure you get a long lasting candle follow the below steps to care for your candle.
CANDLE CARE
- Please read the warning label at the bottom of your candle jar.
- The first time you light your candle, let it burn until the candle wax melts to the edges of the jar or tin. This will ensure an even burn, avoid tunneling and extend the life of your candle.
- Never leave your lit candle unattended.
- Before each use, be sure to trim the wick of your candle. The wick should be about 1/4 inch tall.
- Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Allow the candle to fully cool for 3 hours before re-lighting.
- Keep candle away from drafts
- Keep your candle on a heat resistant surface and away from anything flammable.
- Do not move your lit candle or tin as the jar, tin and wax will be hot.
- Keep out of reach of children or pets
- Store your candle in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Stop using your candle when it has about a 1/2 inch of wax left in the jar or tin. If you would like tips on reusing your candle jar or tin instructions are here.
Additional things to know....
Because our ParaSoy Wax is natural, None of these things will hinder the performance of your candle or the fragrance.
Did you know wax has a memory? It’s true, when you burn your candle that first time, allowing it to burn to the edge of the jar creates a memory for the wax in your candle so that every future burn will burn to the edge and prevent tunneling.
If you notice the edges of your candle jar peeling when your candle is lit, That’s OK, it’s the heat from the candle peeling the paint. We are currently working on a solution.
